Adding a Tile or pot to a tank clowns are already breeding in?

Would adding a tile or pot next to where the clowns are already laying eggs **** them off and stop them from laying eggs again? I've heard changing the tank any can upset them.

I'd like to try to get them to not lay eggs on my sea swirl but don't want to **** them off.

Has anyone added a tile or pot after first few batches of eggs?

If it is secure( won't fall over) and blocks off their chosen site they will likely take to it well.

I tried to cover the piece of live rock my pair were laying on with broken tile. The female hated it and went out of her way to move them. As adtravels mentioned, make sure they are secure.

It was actually fun to watch the female push pieces of tile off of the live rock -- I was surprised how strong she was -- but I'm sure she would've been happier had I not added them in the first place.

I was thinking of building mount similar to a a corner style magnetic frag rack and mounting the tile to that. The female has been laying her eggs on the sea swirl outlet elbow so I figured I could just mount the tile rack under it. Clowns always seem to prefer to lay eggs on a vertical surface but I'll probably also put a piece out horizontal as well.
