Adding these predators for my predatory tank???

Remove the tangs? I can get rid of the sailfin but not dory! I could probably get rid of the maroons if they would come out of their anemone.

Hepatus tangs grow quickly to one foot. They require a minimum of a 240 gallon tank. The maroon clowns will kill the percula clowns so if you can get them out, at least that is something.

What if I changed my tank to this?

Frogfish or Angler
Percula Clownfish (pair)
Marine Betta Grouper
Longnose Hawkfish
Fuzzy Dwarf Lionfish
Blue Tang

I just removed the niger trigger :D

Almost afraid to ask where you removed him to....

Past experience of many, many before you dictates that the Maroon clown will kill the percula pair eventually. One species/pair of clowns per tank is the generally accepted rule.

Your tank is also NOT a predatory tank. You have a pair of clowns, anthias, and a cardinal - these fish simply become FOOD in a predatory tank. You need to remove the predators, and get community fish, or remove the community fish.

i am surprised nobody ha mentioned that your marine betta will eat anything it can fit in its mouth so by your list your gonna have a well feed betta for a little while

the same goes for your dwarf lion

and both have huge mouths for their body size

Frogfish/Anglers eat other fish. They are best suited for species only tanks as they will consume other tank mates without prejudice. However, if you did add one to your tank, it would probably solve a lot of the stocking issues people are commenting on right now.

Just to be clear, you should watch this video to see what I mean.

Please remove some of this fish since they are definitely not compatible with each other and the tank based on its size.

I WAS drink a diet coke. Next time, warn me if you are going to say something that funny.

Dang nevermind about the frogfish then, thanks bro! Almost made a terrible mistake, all these people at the store try to sell, sell, SELL! But don't tell the truth.

I'm actually selling the trigger and both my tangs when they get big enough to be worth something.

I think your thinking is quite backwards. 1) Where are you going to put these fish until the get "big enough" to be worth something? 2) Smaller fish are more valuable to the majority of reefers because they can watch them grow up.

Sell them now so you don't need to worry about it later.

Alright, how much are these worth if I were to sell them and not get short-changed?

Fish:
Male Spotfin Anthias
Banggai Cardinal
Maroon Clownfish (pair)
Percula Clownfish (pair)
Marine Betta Grouper (aka Sea Comet)
Longnose Hawkfish
Fuzzy Dwarf Lionfish
BLue Tang
Sailfin Tang

This thread is getting off topic. I sent you a PM. eAquaria will be more than happy to help you find new homes for your fish.

And please be careful when rounding up these fish. Don't get stung by the lionfish or cut and possibly get an infection by the tangs.

I use a trap I made from a soda bottle, it worked great catching a spanish hog and a niger trigger and once my sailfin tang and longnose hawkfish were in it at the same time but i wasn't taking them out at the time...
