My 200 g sps tank has 2years old. It is Carbon fueled (zeostart 3) and it is runned with a skimmer bubbleking Sm 250. I have always tried to keep sps without adding trace elements, Just doing wAter changes 1 per 2weeks with tmc pro reef and keeping ca mg and kh stable. Ca 420 mg 1350 kh 6.80. Since 1 week after doing waterchanges the tips of sps usually started burning i have decided to give trace elements a try. Everything changed for the better. I dont need anymore to do wAterchanges due to burn and whitening of sps tips(no it was not growing...).

I would like to hear comments Please. Several posts Say adding trace elements are not crucial, But for my tank i learned they really are.

It's hard to comment since the information is vague. What trace elements? How much of a water change ? NO3 and PO4 levels, etc?.Generally, fwiw, I find trace elements unnecessary in my system with regular water changes and feeding taking care of iwaht's needed and like alk in the 9's. No burnt tips. I don't use zeo start , though.
