Adjusting Leds Instead Of Moving SPS'S In Increments?

Can I put my new SPS's closer to the LEDS and just adjust the LEDS till SPS's r happy? They r currently on the bottom on the sand 22" from 165watt LEDS. Practically all corals r on bottom.
The other corals r: Goniastrea, Duncans, Diploastrea, Leptastrea, Cyphastrea and a Tubipora. If I lower the light level and then slowly raise the brightness till SPS's appear happy Will the other corals bleach or die? May seem like a stupid question but it will make moving the SPS's doable. Due to the rock work I would have to use super glu to affix the SPS's every time I move them up the rock work.

I recently switched from T5 to LED. That being said, my tank was already up and running where I had a bunch of SPS already glued to rocks.

A simple acclimation period must occur or else you'd most likely bleac your corals and get them depending on the setting you use.

Using Reefbreeder Photons here, I made my max peak at 30%B and 25%W. I'm now up to 60%B and 50%W.

LEDs dim up and down for a reason! Start low, end when you start seeing all of your corals happy!

Just askin'..... But why did you switch from T5's??

Some are switching back to T5 from LEDs......

I am not sure what brand of LEDs you have, but Radion LEDs have an acclimation period built into the lights, which allows you to select the acclimation time frame and the starting intensity.

This would be the preferred method to acclimate your corals if you are moving from one type of light to another (T5 to Led, Etc.).

However, if you are just adding a new coral here and there, it would make more sense to start them in the sand bed and gradually move them up to the desired location.
