My WC system might be on the extreme side. I am doing Week 1 30 Gallons on frag system and week 2 60 gallons on 320 gallon tank. Fresh water is always full in 1st barrel and controlled with solenoid and float valve controlled by Neptune.
The second barrel is where the mixing occurs. I pump water into this barrel with a manifold valve and mix with a reefflo dart. The reefflo dart does four things 1.circulate the water, heat the water, and push water to my plumbed in tanks and available as a back up pump for main system.
I use brightwell because even though they have clever marketing the Alk in the salt has been consistently between 7.5 and 8 which is where I keep my tank.
I will fill barrel with 60 g of water, add enough salt to 1.026, match temp of tank usually over night circulation and change water.
I like brightwell for the stable alk and that it leaves a very trace amount of residue in my mixing system compared to other salts that I have tried.
