advice needed

thos lights are jebo/odysea brand...same brand...both suck. I've got one that the balast is completely fried and i'm surprised it didnt catch fire...they're known for catching fire.

How do they suck and why do you say the ballast suck on them just trying to get all the info. I know you get what you pay for. but its more just cause i want to keep some clams and acros with out buying another 250W hamilton the money is cheaps fo.r this 175 so its apealing could u tell me about the color spectrem or if u still use it

If you scroll down further on the page you linked it shows you have a choice of 10/15/20K bulbs.

The brand doesn't have a good reputation as a quality product, that's why I've never bought an Odyssea fixture.

well they're not good cuz about half of the people (which imo is WAAAAY too many) that get them, they die about 4 months down the road or something. I've seen very few people who've had their jebo's for more than a year or 2.

The balast is the problem imo. I got a 2x96 jebo/odysea, and i've got 2 seperate 2x96 pc's with workhorse balasts.
The jebo balast is less than half the size of the workhorse, so right there they're overdoing it imo, and then on top of that, the wires to the bulbs are maybe...oh...the thickness of headphone wires? On my workhorse retro, the cables are like really thick.

Another local person has had the metal halides by them too...he said the same thing when he compaired the balasts and everything to an actual good setup.

Last, they're known to start fires like i said above. How often? Probably not THAT much, but its often enough to the point where its just a risk. But the balast on mine is completely fried and everything is all melted...i could take a pic of it later if you wanted. But i think what caused it was the wires melted, but then i saw the electricity actually arc, which i know for a fact isnt sposed to happen lol. Then the balast got compeltely burned.

Not worth the risk imo. Pretty much all their stuff is like that...just not good quality
