Thanks Orion,
The October storm that hit us hard in Buffalo 5 or 6 years ago left no power for 10days ,cold and few gas stations open, many with flooded basements, some with crushed roofs from fallen trees. The folks downstate and in New Jersey have it worse than that it seems with all the water, no public transportation( a big issue there), a major hospital evacuation, no food in some areas,no gas and a slow response so far due to the enormity of it ll. I'm from NYC and worried about several family members as the after effects of this thing progress. One whole neighborhood, Breezy Point, is burned to the ground, I used to go swimming there. It's a bad one; worst folks in New York have seen in a century or more. There are a lot of people packed together down there which makes the infrastructure damage even worse.
