Aggressive blenny

OMG! Those lawnmower blennies can be aggressive, little things! My blenny beat up my largest tomato clown today. The clown didn't even try to get back on it, but just moved out of the way! Has anyone else experienced something like this?

I don't have a lawnmower blenny for that very reason. Many have told me they get mean when they become adults.

they have huge jaws, are very muscular, and have a very high metabolism (constantly eating). add to that that they are algae eaters and become territorial as algae is a limited resource in tanks. probably the 2nd most starved fish next to the dragonet thanks to their misrepresentation in the hobby.

I wonder why they are always presented as peaceful fish? It seems like they very often are not peaceful.

I got mine because they are tough. Have a lot of different types of algea growing in my agressive tank, also feed spirlina and nori. Holds its own against 2 triggers, porc puff, and a large cinnamon clown.
