AI Director Beta - Who got picked? Lets talk 'Director'!

I am with you on this, I had zero issues with the new controller and didn't realize the beta director was so flawed. I think it should have been sent out in phases based on your lights, so Sol first, work out those bugs, Vegas, then hydras last.

To make it worse, it seems that they gave up getting this product ready for MACNA. It's been two weeks since a beta update and I doubt that we see another until after MACNA.

I see a new post on the beta boards:

We will be updating Director's this week.
We have made great strides based on feedback of our Beta users to resolve outstanding issues and implement some requested features.
When the update has been pushed, it will be noticeable.

Well that's hopeful. Lets see what the update brings us!

Hydra

Hydra

I've had no real issues with my director and hydra. The wireless setup could be a lot better. I just plugged it into my router.

just tested with fresh install of Firefox, i'm still not able to drag the lights to the grid, plus i get a pop up to accept the license agreement every time i refresh the page. I think the database might be corrupt.

have you send a email to their support about it. they are fast at getting back to you or try to fixing fast.

Thanks owenspackman and lowscooby76, i sent them an email and in 5 minute it was fixed, just need to move the unit closet to the lights so they can be found.

Had the director for a week or so but finally had a day off to set it up.

Got my hydra connected no problem with a Ethernet cable and using automatic mode and plotting the graph for each color

It was time consuming but no complaints so far ^_^ guess I got lucky

Just got my unit in today and the only problem I saw was setting multiple presets. I now have two presets with the same name even though I named the second one something different. Overall, feeling good about the unit. For the record, I'm running this with a Hydra.

Great! That's good news! Let us know how it continues to go. Fingers crossed the troubles are over.

Got home and ran to the laptop, logged in, held the button on the hydra till discovered, clicked to program, and that was it... Not even a simple preset to get started. So being that the lights were already going down, I can't start fiddling and guessing at how to make a preset. Anyway I created a preset, ramping everything up to55% clicked save and clicked play and everything was gone ...
