AI Director Beta - Who got picked? Lets talk 'Director'!

100% done with my director until all the bugs are worked out. Still unable to control my vega. Finally able for it to discover my vega, but then it starts strobing. Added it to the beta test forum, so we will see what they say. Prob tell me they will reset my database for the umpteenth time.

I'm having good luck w/ mine. It's been stable for at least a week w/ no problems what so ever. I'm running hydras btw.

not sure if it's related but when i perform a firmware upgrade on the controller the lights strobe as well, this is an option that needs to be disabled as i normally upgrade my firmware after 10 PM so strobes are a real PITA for my fish..

So I just got my shipping notification for the director.

Sucks that it's basically worthless. I just don't understand why they do not have the director's programming any more effective that what it is already.

I kind of worry about AI's integrity a little.

just got my shipping notification as well, looks like another batch is heading out. No worries about AI's integrity here, I enjoy seeing a newer company making it and I have Beta tested everything from video games to exhaust headers. Unless constructive, detailed feedback is given so that the issue can be reproduced, being a Beta tester is pointless.

AI is a small company, you can see on the beta board there is only 6 engineers and I am sure this is not their only project. They will eventually put out a quality product, key word is 'eventually'. In the mean time it has been a week since any type of update, hopefully we will get a good leap forward soon. /crossfingers

I wouldn't worry. I've had mine running for quite some time now with no further major issues after that initial hiccup. The company has been very responsive to major issues, or at least mine they were.

I think it's great that they are offering so many beta testers, rather than just a few. To me that shows they really want a good market test.

I was impatient and a bit turned off in the beginning but their responsiveness proved my initial reaction to be wrong.

I'm just curious what happened to the director beta thread? I had subscribed and it is no longer there. Did it get taken down for some reason?

AI isn't even a sponsor, you really think they would be able to pull it down? I think its more likely that RC saw it as marketing and since they aren't a sponsor yanked it.

Not sure if anyone is interested, but after speaking with AI today I was informed that the enrollment period has been re-opened for a short time. Just placed my order.

Just received mine, plugged it into the router, went to myaquaillumination.com and signed in, added director, and clicking on the blue AI in the top left corner director version is 1.0.228-r2. not able to change the channel to 1 so it can discover my lights right now, is there a discovery mode on the hydra's?
