Do u have to have bounjour and after u download bounjour were do u find it on computer?
You'll need two things in order to get the Director working.
First you'll need to installed Bonjour on your computer and secondly, you'll have to enable your WPS on your router. Without performing these two functions, the Director will not be able to be located.
Once you have both of these key items, you'll have to type in the following to your URL....
http://Director-XXXXXX.local The xxxxxx is the serial number on your Director. This is how it should look exactly on your URL
http://Director-12345A1.local
If you don't know how to enable your WPS, just call your internet company and they will walk you through the process. The help desk at AT&T were very helpful, and now I'm a pro at enabling my WPS on my AT&T Gateway Router.
Just to let you know, I'm running Windows 8, and when I search for the AI Director, it still can't find the Director IP address. I just use the URL and type in the Director address into the URL.
One other key point is, when you plug in your Director unit with the UBS wireless key, it will first flash red for awhile, then turn solid red, then flash green and once it has found your Director, it will then turn solid green.
Once your Director has made the wireless connection, AI suggests you just let the Director sit on it's own for a few hours and receive the latest updates.
I know this is very frustrating for you, but once you have the wireless connection between your Director and computer/router, the Director is so simple to use and extremely powerful.
As I said before, the Director is amazing....Right now my two Vega units have been on ramp down within the past two hours and the lights will shut off at exactly 4:45 PST tonight, with clear sky's, thanks to the fine engineers at AI.
If you still have issues, let me know and I'll try to help you out further.
