AI Director Beta - Who got picked? Lets talk 'Director'!

Anyone know how to change the WiFi settings?? It seems my director likes to disconnect once a day and requires a power cycle to get back online, I want to change it to a different access point in the house and see if it works better, but the settings page doesn't allow you to change wifi and I can't connect directly to the director via wifi if it's solid red since I set it up.

Magaman - hope this helps. I pulled this off their Facebook page:
"If you are wanting to do so you would need to press down the director button, it will be green, then flash green, then glow red, then strobe red...at this point release the button (this happens after about 10-15 seconds) and will have factory reset the Network and Director. "

I figured there was some sort of factory reset. I'll give that a try. Though I got a feeling I'll have to hardwire it since the wifi seems to be a common issue with people.

after I updated firmware my fan on my hydra will not turn off.

I tried resetting and unplugging the light.

any other ideas?>

Edit: nm fixed it

Director just updated. I can now see the weather option. However, the location search does not seem to work, and I can't get the weather function to actually turn on and stay on. Anyone else seeing this?

Sonic, what is your ramp time and light cycle?

Right now lights on at 9 with a 3 hour ramp to 12... To 7pm with a 3 hour ramp down...

What do you think? Too much or too little?

I'm using the weather settings with local sunrise and sunset. Right now I think they start ramping up at 7 am until 4:30ish with a 2:30 ramp time and lunar cycle from 10 pm to 5 am

Are you saying your lights cut off at 10pm?

So I did a factory reset on my director to change to another wifi AP in the house, and I must say it's been up and running without issue now for 3 days. I have a feeling the initial AP I selected was a little lower signal and the Director must have been dropping the connection.

Twostepper, that's about the same as I have. Doesn't seem like too long but that is dependent on the intensity, which is why I have a two hour ramp time for the winter. I will start increasing it to three hours come spring.

Another little Director quirk, it seems if your Wifi AP goes down the director locks up. I had rebooted my AP and didn't check the director. Noticed the next day the lights didn't come up, went to the director and it was flashing red like nuts as if it was scanning for Wifi. Pulled the power for a few seconds and it came back up connected and the lights flipped on.

No... Once you setup the controller, and save all settings, your wifi could go down, and director still works fine... The key is the link between director and your lights
