AI Hydra Settings Thread

Sorry to hear that, more than likely a fish splashed. I have two clowns that splash my wall on the right corner of my tank when they play.

director issues

Anyone else having a ton of issues with their director losing connection to the wifi signal? I have reset it up twice this past weekend. Wake up this morning and boom no signal again. I know it is not an issue with the wireless router because everything else is still connected.

Nope I only have a damsel and a clown fish in the tank. It a 30 gal frag tank....and I know it's not water change cause the problem. I talk to AI and they recommend to dry the inside of the light once a month with cloth or hair dryer.

It's been EXTREMELY HUMID in Huntington beach the past 2 weeks. I mean like South Florida Humidity. I would not think this would be a problem, but with the Humidity maybe so.

Odd, I live in Florida and maintain my house at 79 degrees, lights used to sit at 6 1/2" AWL and when i opened my light after 8 months or so it was perfectly dry inside. I would imagine it would be close to impossible to have enough humidity buildup inside with a fan running on the light. can you order just a replacement board?

Well my eyes hurt from reading 81 pages, but I feel more informed. Thanks for all the great ideas. I need to turn down my CW and UV. I just lowered my photo period. Hopefully my SPS will color up again. It would be nice to see some photos of tanks with settings and how long running Hydra's

Sorry hit the wrong Quote!
sorry to hear the bad news. Do you have more than one light? If so it may be a good idea to check the other do you use A/C in your house?
Maybe we all should be checking ours!

So I added my old hydra next to the new 26 in the center of my tank for the heck of it, it's been almost two weeks and oddly enough my red Monti has turned upward toward the light at all the edges. It is now directly under a hydra with a hydra 26 next to it.

Disregard the pvc bracket...lol I'm still working on an aluminum design.

So my house got hit by lightening last night frying my cable modem but the director and wireless weren't affected. But the director didn't run it's setting like its sopposed to until I unplugged it a few times then it working for a bit until morning when I got up the lights were on like 10% ish blues and like 10% whites only... Which made no sense then I power cycled the director and lights went full on... Bottom line is I can't trust the director to run like its sopposed too. I think I'm going to hook into my apex and go that way.
