AI Hydra Settings Thread

What is the best setting for LPS reef tank?

That's a very vague question lol. We'd need more info. Tank size and all that. Each tank is different

Plus, I'm sure that question has been answered a few times back within the entire thread lol. Do some reading and you may just find it haha [emoji16][emoji106][emoji225][emoji226]

I just want to suggest, if your lights have been up and running for more than 6 months, I highly recommend taking some q tips, moisten the tips and clean the heat sink and under the fan.. Mine doubled in size and came out black as night.

Anyone running a single hydra unit on a 40 breeder.

Right now I'm running a single hydra unit on a 37 gallon which is 36 inches long. I have to redo my carpet and I have to break the tank down so I was thinking of going with a 40 breeder.

I think a few people in this thread are running a single on a 40 breeder, use the thread search feature, not sure how far back it is.

On my 46 bowfront I have two Hydra 26's. Overkill but I have no coverage issues at about 6" awl.
I uses the ratios (with lesser intensities) given by roberto_lopes because his pics looked great, but still too white for me.
Currently:
CW 20
V 13
DR 7
G 7
DB 33
RB 33
UV 10

Thinking about upping the DB, RB and Violet a little.

This isnt a settings question...but how dose everyone deal with cord managemt from their Hydra's? I have 4 of them over my 125g and no matter what I do I am not happy with the cords. Pics would help if anybody has some good ideas. Thanks!!

For those of us running a Director, what would you like to see in the next update?

I'd like to see;
Lunar status symbol with a moon to see full - half moon and where the lights are in the phase.
An app for all mobile phone operating systems.
An alarm symbol showing if the lights have gone off (power cut)

Swapped tanks yesterday. From 60g to 100g and kept the two hydras. Decided to change the settings to 70% across for the 20k (as mentioned above) spectrum. 10" a AWL. It's peak color at the moment and I'm digging it!!
