AI Hydra Settings Thread

I finally got my lighting project came together as to upgrade from three Hydras to three Hydra 52s for my 100g Cadlight dt. I must say that these Hydra 52s are insane bright. Here are a few pictures to share (heavy pictures.)

What does it mean if I turn off all colors except cool white at 100% and the water looks yellow???? (Everything growing well, I wanted to take pictures but....)

There's a video on BRS about carbon, they put some freshly mixed water in a white 5 gallon bucket with some tank water in another, if the tank water looks yellower than the fresh in the white bucket, its time to change or add carbon.

Noticeable. When I lift the lights off the water they are pure white. I'll try and get a picture of the whites only on the tank. Never noticed it before. Anyone else running whites only and not have crisp white in the water?

White only (picture looks a lot less yellow than what I can see ImageUploadedByTapatalk1421975757.974569.jpg

Mixed colors (what I run normally)

If your water is that dirty the carbon gets depleted earlier then a less dirty tank. I've had to change mine after a couple weeks before too

65g 36x24x24 and I have the lights 8" above the water line and corals 6" or less below the water with lights at 100% across the all colors and everything is great.

Do you have the settings as you say 100% across all colors in that actual picture?

Because that looks nothing like what mine look like when I blast my tank with 100 percent on all colors.

100% white only produced yellow water. I run my daily on mixed as seen above

Okay what I am wondering is the overall intensity.

Are you saying that you have all channels except white at 100 but then on your overall intensity it doesn't go over 60? So in actuality, the individual colors may be at 100 but your graph doesn't go above 60, so really those colors are only reaching 60?

what cyberdude is saying is that he noticed when he turned all his colors down except white, his tank looked yellowish, however he normally runs all his colors as shown in his pictures.
