AI Hydra Settings Thread

Sorry I didn't see you had a director. These are the instructions if you have HDs' I've never used a director so I don't know how that works.

Hi friends, first of all thanks for sharing your very valuable experience.
I would like to ask those who have more experience some clarification on some of my points.
I have two hydra 26 hd, but I do not understand why a be connected a plafo in local mode and a plafo in demo mode.
Have also tried to reset the plafo, but the first access app AI, again a plafo in mode and a plafo in local.
How can this be?
And another question to be where I can load a setup file? See no file load function?
Thank you all and apologize for my bad English

In order to upload a file into your lights you will need to do it from a PC. Just lod into the AI website should be the same login as the app. It looks the same as the app with a few other options the reason being is because phones don't have the ability to read the file format. Hope this answers part of your question

Okkkkkkk thanks Hunter, to be able to upload the file, (and also solved the problem of the connection) but maybe I lose a step, how to make the save of this? I do not see no rescue button.
If you can put screen with indicated this would be perfect, thank you already for those who can help me

I've got an AI Hydra 26 HD. I've got a RBTA aprox 22" from the light. I'm looking for suggestions on color settings for the RBTA. Thanks!

Roughly 2:1 blue to white for a 20k look. The rest of the color settings won't matter for growth much and only for aesthetics. He violet, red, green and uv make up less than 5% of the light power so focus more on your blues and whites

Actintics Settings with HYdra 26

Actintics Settings with HYdra 26

Possible to get Actintics effect with Hydra 26 and if so what are possible settings?

Color settings and growth

Color settings and growth

Can some provide summary of colors that affects growth and those that are just for looks?

For example the Royal Blue, Deep Blue and White are for growth? The Green and Red are for look? The UV and Violet are for?

Moonlight/dusk but just to see the color pops when I used to have my T5s.

ok so I will remove W,R,G, keep the blues?

I run just the UV and Royal Blue at 5% each for moonlights. Try that but at a higher percentage. I just don't know how the corals will respond to it if you're running them higher for a long time

Hi,
I have 2x Hydra 52 just installed on my tank. I am connected to them both via my iPhone and via the web on my laptop.

I don't seem to have the layout option available or the weather option....
Any ideas?

LPS Colors and Growth

LPS Colors and Growth

I have AI Hydra 26 HD, what's good settings for growth and color pop for LPS such as Chalice, Acan and Leptastrea? Maybe 20K look? LPS general prefer lower lightings.

I was thinking of trying:

UV 40, Violet 40, Deep Blue 80, Royal Blue 40, Green/Red 30, White 20

Would they grow with strictly more Deep Blue vs White?

Looking for opinion...
There does not seem to be much info on coverage for Hydra.
This is for a 125 gallon standard rimmed aquarium.. So they are narrow and not very deep but very long. Would 3 Hydra TwentySix be enough, One for each two foot section? Or would it need 52?
Looking it looks borderline.
Full blown SPS reef?
What would be recommend?

Can you post your light schedule?

How long and at what intensities do you run the Hydra's and how long do you run the T5s?

Hello I run my T5s from 12pm-6pm and my Hydras near 20k:
Red, Green, White 30
All other Blues and UV 100

I ran MHs before so I use the acclimation period on 30% for a month.
Red, Green, White 9>>>>>30
All other Blues and UV 70>>>>>100
