Power Supply - WIFI

Power Supply - WIFI

I use 3 Hydra 26 HD's for my tank. One of the lights would not communicate consistently with WIFI so I couldn't control it using my phone or PC app's. The company was very good about trying to trouble shoot the problem and sent a replacement. When I installed the new light I used my old power supply and had the same problem. I added the new power supply to the new light it worked fine. If you have problems with your lights and WIFI, don't overlook the power supply.

If these lights don't have a fairly solid wifi connection, they will frequently disconnect. They don't seem to have the best range either. I had to setup a wifi extender near the tank so they would both stay connected consistently. Before that, one would lose connection pretty regularly.

I only get one or two bars for wifi and my router is in a room on the other side of the wall behind the lights. Definitely weak equipment. Love the lights though.

Is anyone using T5's to supplement their Hydra 52's?

I have 2 Hydra 52's above a standard 90. I ordered 2 T5 fixtures to supplement.

What bulbs are you using? How long are you running them? What are you running the Hydra's at and how long?

I run 2 52's with an ati 4x54 52's are on from 7am - 7pm and t5's from 12noon - 9:30pm

For those using T5s to supplement your Hydra's. If you could choose only 2 bulbs, which would they be? I was thinking of going with 2 ATI Blue Plus.

How long and at what intensities do you run the Hydra's and how long do you run the T5s?

Hydra 26 HD

Running 80% at 18k 12 hours a day with a 2 hour ramp time for RBTA in a 70 gallon tank. The RBTA is doing great now. I switched over from a Razor 420 that was 5 years old and lost its PAR

How do you download this file to the Director? or can I get the % schedule manually?

You need to find a file to download first. Once you do that you have to be on a PC cause you cannot download a file to the app. Get on your PC and log into the AI website there you will have the same options and layout as the app but with an option to download a file into your settings.
