AI Hydra Settings Thread

Yup tried a new USB, and different sockets. Didn't work.

I have a 1 story house so I'll be fine in that regard.

I had a issue with my director about 2 months ago losing connection and not working at times. i found that the light on top wasnt red or green but not on at all. they replaced the cable for me and i havnt had an issue since.

Ok so FINALLY got the problem squared away!! Thanks to Justin and his amazing customer service at AI and Jamie- "Sonicboom" for the assist!

When looking at my suspension, I am using the EXT Rail to lock the 2 lights together--everything looked fine here. However, I then took a closer look and saw that I have the cables not going into the EXT, but threading into the threaded holes in the heatsink. I threaded too deeply into the light and went right into the LED puck, causing the Deep Blues to not fire. I opened up and saw the puck bowling upward with a bubble/notch in the puck. Derp!!!

Got the ok from Justin to swap pucks and now everything is perfect and good to go!

And loving the director! Got it dialed in and running on LA time. Woot

Go team! Haha

Justin has been a great help.
I do love the director also, so cool on how easy to control different aspects.

does anyone know if you can set the time of day of sunrise when using the geo location?

Wow you would think that they would leave the space under the bolts clear so that your bolts would not short them.

Do they want you to leave one of the set screws out and use that hole.If so,when you hang 3 lights you need both set screws.Anyone hanging 3 hydras with two 18" EXT want to post a pic how they want it done>

If you're using the ext rails it holds itself in place w the new slimmer heatsink. The two screws on each side just keep it in place.

Glad you got it working! The AI support team is outstanding. I sure hope lowering my white, R & G will help get rid of my brown sand bed. Where the sandbed is shaded, there isn't any brown spots and Chemiclean did nothing to reduce it. Also noticed some algae growing on my power heads, which typically only have coraline on them. Perhaps also due to light settings. Checked NO3 and PO4 last night and still extremely low if not undetectable. I will leave the settings (Posted earlier) for a week or so to see if I notice any change. Sure hate spending all the $$$ just to get this growth and brown sand bed.

Ya it's the green and reds. Happens to ya all at first lol. You'll see it go away soon. My reds and greens are at 15%

So nice having a full working set of lights again lol. And the director is awesome. Love messing with it from my phone

Sure hope so. I've get R peaking at 8 and G peaking at 10 with ramps to that point of 5 hours on each side. Whites are only at 30% now and I have on 265g (7' tank). Corals looking great though. Growth is good. I've had them on since the 52s first came out as I pre-ordered them.
