AI Hydra Settings Thread

My duncan has nearly doubled with appx 20 heads now. it's in the lower 1/3 of the tank. Max settings are blues 68, white, UV, Violet 30, Green, red 9

21" deep tank lights are 12" above

Guy's, anyone have any chalices under the Hydras as well? That's the other coral I could use some help with, it seems very unhappy were it is

Does anyone use Hydras with the the Apex AWM and the new Fusion graphing feature? I have Hydras over my 72" 100g and still trying to figure out the best way to control the leds. Right now I like using the graph feature vs profiles, although I do have profiles set for random cloudy and stormy periods.

starting to think your settings are to high you may want to lower them and see what happens give them a week if they dont look any better then at least you know its not the lights

A friend of mine has the AWM and uses Fusion...and he likes the graph feature.

I've not played with Fusion much (although I was an early beta tester); to me I like using the Apex programming, but that's likely because I have some controls engineering background and the Apex programming "makes sense" to me.

But I think Fusion is really cool, and certainly Neptune has done a nice job incorporating Hydra lighting.

OK, I will try that, I had it up on top and moved it to the lower 1/3 of the tank, I have W- 62, B- 50 uv-40 I have taken the T5s off for now, so just the 2 Hydras

If you back in the middle of this thread most of us found that if you run a lot of white the corals don't like it. If it was me I would keep the blues or even bump them up a little and set the white back down to 35 / 40% also lower the UV down to 35% till the coral acclimate and see how the corals like the new settings

So now there's a new Hydra26. Very cool but one thing worries me. If you go to AI's website, I don't see the "Hydra", just the Hydra 52 and new Hydra26. I have a feeling they are phasing out the basic Hydra. I was just about to finally pick one up for my tank and in a few years add another when I get a bigger tank but now I just don't know????????????

a smaller footprint with 6 more leds for the same price? its a no brainer...lol i will sell you my hydra if you want..lol
