AI Hydra Settings Thread

Anyone help?

I can't understand what has happened.

I have been registered & logging in as usual by my Windows tablet and Windows phone via internet explorer (not an app)

When I click on the AI login-in screen I get the following....

I would appreciate some help with my settings. I just set up my Red Sea 450 reefer tank. It's 5' long, 21" tall and 20" wide. I have 3 hydra 52's mounted and not sure what settings for this size tank. I plan to keep mostly hard corals. Right now my settings are at 20% and my lights are 12" above water line. The tank is 5 days old. Thanks

seeing as tho this keeps going on and on and NO ONE has definitive answers - here is me question to all that are here and are professional users -

i have a "new" controller and 2 hydra 26's

what color settings make:

6,500
8k
10k
12k
14k
16k
18k
20k

???

how do i achieve these color temperatures ?

Here is what was posted before on k settings

This is from another post here on RC straight from AI, the 52 settings should be the same as the 26 color wise:

If you are looking for a 20K spectrum for the 52, would recommend a 1:2 Ratio of White to Royal/Deep Blue on the lights. The other colors can be adjusted as you wish and won't have a dramatic difference on the color temperatures, however, would recommend keeping them at or lower of that of the White Channel. If you are looking for more of the 10k, the exact opposite in that of a 2:1 ratio of White to Blue channels would be very close.

This is what i use and gives me a nice blue, clouds enabled 20% prob 20% intensity

UV 20
V 70
DB 100
RB 100
GN 37
Rd 17
CW 30

These settings are for the 52 not the 26's and also i dont want to guess - i want to know i know in this thread someone posted the individual light temperatures - can anyone link to those >???

also found this also - and it seems like something i would like to look into doing -
1.5 hr to ramp up
1 hr of 20K
1 hr of 18K
1 hr of 14K
2 hr of 12K
1 hr of 14K
1 hr of 18K
1 hr of 20K
1.5 hrs to ramp down.

saw it was from the same posts as the settings but...

The 52 uses the exact same LED clusters as the 26. If you are that concerned just ask AI and post what they say. They have great customer service and will probably respond in the same day.

Why is the director to damn hard to connect to wi-fi? grumble, grumble, grumble. We had a wi-fi mishap and the password had to be changed. I am having a hell of a time recalling how to reconnect. The ETM reef link is super easy. Grrrrrrrr.

Can you chage the password back on the router? I think you need to connect the director to your laptop via USB, then disconnect from your home wireless, scan for networks and connect to the director, then go to the local address and let it rescan for wireless. I probably missed a step in there since I am at my lfs browsing...lol

No, once a pass word is used it can not be used again. Once I figure out how to reconnect it usually goes quick, but the instructions in the guide do not work of me. it is just a pain in the butt.

I am going to try connecting to my computer to see if that is the step I am missing, thanks for the suggestion. I should have thought of that since the reef link need to be connected to reconfigure. Duh.

That is not it, now I am getting aggravated.

What a pain, I decided to just plug it in to the router via either net cable. All better.

Ha-ha, yes that is the fix all, the trick is once connected to your computer you scan for wireless networks, then connect to the director.
