AI Led questions

I have a few questions.
1.) What are the limitations of connecting the AI fixtures through the serial port?
2.) What are the maximum number of fixtures you can connect?
3.) Are there any plans to be able to connect this or any other LED to any port besides the serial port?

1) can't use the serial port for anything else, need special cable, doesn't seem to be any limitation on the AI side
2) it would seem to be 1, but since each individual module of the AI chains to the next one, there may not be any limit ( i have a 6 module unit on mine no problem )
3) dont know, but would like it

3) no as there is now available PLM-RS232 so you cna have two serial ports releasing your existing ports for other options
