For those of you who have had or have now, opinions? Pros and con's? I see most people rave about them...was thinking of putting one up over a 29g biocube.
 
It's going to be going over a 5g but I'm playing with it over a 60g cube. A friend of mine has one over his biocube
 
I run a prime over my 29g Biocube. It's a great little light and all my corals seem happy and are growing really well.
 
I have this light over my 10G IM Fusion. LOVE IT! I have only had the tank up for a month, all it has in it for corals is a few hitch hiking shrooms, but they are doing great. Love the control and really can not beat the price point.
 
For a mixed reef, yes. If you want to grow SPS in every corner of the tank, you will need more spread, maybe one Hydra 26 or two Primes.

I agree i have no issues growing SPS at the top of the tank and mid way down in the center but beyond that you would need 2. I am already running my prime for 13 hours a day with All channels at 100% except the white and green they max out around 70% each day.
 
You've got a Prime running near 100% over a 29g biocube? Any you haven't started a fire yet???

Can you share pics of this tank, and a description please? Most interested!
 
Why would it start a fire? It's fan cooled, and I'd be willing to bet even with each channel at 100% the LEDs still aren't anywhere near 100% of their max.

Yes I have had the prime over the tank for about 4 months. The tank is a 29g BC that I made rimless along with a couple other mods. The tank is still young and has only been up and running around 5 months. I am running it bare bottom SPS dominate with a few shrooms. I have finally gotten it dialed in over the past 2 weeks and my acros are starting to take off. I plan on adding another Prime soon as one is just not enough par and I'm getting some shading. Here's A few crappy phone pics.
