Algae on my millies

I have three millies in my tank but one of them which is a rose by the way has some brown algae sticking to the tips. It is not happening to all the branches either maybe a 1/3 of them. The rest of the colony is hairy even the affected branches just not the tips of those. This is a maricultured piece I got from diver's den about 3mos ago. It is not as hairy as my two Ora millies (blue & green) but never was.
My parameters as of Sunday 11/4
No3 0 sailfert
Po4 .03 Hanna
Ca. 460 sailfert
Dhk 8.5 sailfert
Mag 1450 Red Sea pro
All other corals are fine with no problems. Any help would be appreciated b/c I'm stumped.

the tips are dying ... and algae growing.

need a CSI team to know why :) could be increase in KH, could have been stung by another coral, or ......

what you have to do at this point, is to check to make sure no crabs in system.

then keep KH and ca and mg stable, and close to nsw, [ca 420] and keep it stable and see how it goes,

if you keep water good, it will heal itself in no time.

thanks for the reply
i don't think the tips are dying as i can see polyps coming out of the first row of coralites. i run bio pellets so my nitrate and phosphates are always very low if not non existant. i don't know of any pests in my tank and like i said both of the other millies i have which are in close proximaty seem to be showing no signs of stress at all. i am asking b/c this is the first maricultured piece i have ever purchased from diver den and from what i understand they are not as hardy aquacultured pieces. i use kalk to keep my levels stable and since i have been keeping written records for over a year now my parameters have not varied enough to pick up on tests. i plan on taking this colony out and dipping it over the weekend to see if that makes any difference.
once again i have very good polyp extension on this colony just not to the very tips like my other two ora pieces. those ora pieces are so hairy you can't even see the ends.

thanks again for any help you can offer

one more thing there is no other coral within 5 - 6 inches of it so not stinging

the tip of coral doesnt just collect algae :)

since you are using pellets, I advice yo lower KH to 7.0 ca++ at420 and MG at 1350, same as natural Salt water.

in many tanks with lower nutritions, SPS tips burn due to higher alk. being maricultured, its more prone to stress :)
