Aloha! A trip of a lifetime...

LOL cant we all just get along? Thanks for the props...I have some more suprises coming when the big tank gets up and running.

umm quick question: Does this Rob guy have a website or anything? Does he sell his WC fishes to people in the states + shipping? Or just to wholesellers in Hawaii. I would live to buy fish from people like him so I can cut out all the unecessary stopping stations, pet shops, etc fish go through to get to our tanks!

While on the subject ccampbell57 I dont know a lot about angelfish. I am however in love with tangs and know lots about them. I want to put a good size emperor such as yours in my large reef tank. The question I hae is in regards to you saying that your angels tour your reef up. Is a lg emperor angel not reef safe?? Are angels not reef safe period?

PS: I think you ned an achilles tang and a moorish Idol in your tank!!! Perhaps even a Sohal ^.^

PM me and I will get you in touch with Rob. The nice thing abut buying directly from the diver is that the fish are well handled and the chances of the fish having any diseases is way less than buying from a wholesaler or an LFS.

As for your reef, my emperor would tear your reef apart. My angels were in my reef when they were small and were fine. Once they hit 7" they ate every last piece of coral (all $2000 of it).

There are no 100% reef safe angels, just ones that are less likely to eat corals.

As for the tangs I will be adding an Achillies and either a Dussimier, Bariene, or Sohal to my 500g once it is up.

I'm curious if your bandit is still alive? Its days are numbered i bet after your "needle" comment.

I know a lot of local divers here that will never needle a fish. I guess sometimes the dollar signs just get in the way.

Forgot about this thread! Jus an update. The bandit is still going strong that I originally caught. The second one died within 2 weeks of introduction to the tank.

I however have a nice "little" addition in QT just waiting to see its new mate...

I had never seen this thread before..great read. How is the new tank you are putting together comeing along?Great to hear the bandit is doing well-Kieth

Hey ccampbell57, do you have a build thread up someplace? Yours is about my favorite FO tank on this forum. I find most barren and boring looking but something about yours, long story short... great aquascape.

Anyways, really excited to see what you do with 500g, would love to check out the thread if there is one.

Keith/Austin/Nick/Ian/Francis - I will get some pics up tonight sometime.

Thanks for the kind words on the tank. I am continually tweaking my system trying new things and adding new specimen.

I dont have a build thread up yet as my 560 is still sitting in my garage waiting to be put into place.

I will most definitely be creating a thread once it is started. I have all the equipment for it, all I need is a finished basement :)
