I don't like the idea of adding an anemone to my mostly coral filled tank as I've been told they move around and can kill/damage the corals.

Is there something I can put in my tank for my clownfish? They are constantly rubbing on my Zoa's and acting like they would like to hide but there just isn't any room to put much more than a fin in with the Zoa's

Try some hairy shrooms. They can handle the lovin from the clowns better than stony corals. IMHO they are the best surrogate host.

I have a pair of false percs who host in a bed of anthelia. They dont seem to hurt it any.

Will try to get a pic tomorrow....its actually cute

Frogspawn, Hairy Shrooms and Anthelia - great ideas. Guess what, after I sent this request I went and got my three legged camp stool to watch my tank with (just the right height) my two clowns were IN my hairy mushroom (tan with green hair) I'd never seen them do that before and I've got to tell you I've got a lot of time on that stool.....

Thanks, keep the ideas coming - OH, I've got 6 T5's over the tank so any recommendatins need to live in those conditions

Mine host in my frogspawn and doesnt seem to bother it at all. However, I have heard some people say that their clowns beat the snot out of theirs, so I suppose it depends on the clown, some species are notoriously hard on corals. Oh yeah, mine are occ's.

LOL!
Have you tried Heteractis latexica?

or Stychodactyla plastikica?

I say this every time, but long-polyp toadstool corals (Sarcophyton) have worked well for me so far. The tan ones look a lot like S. gigantea when they're fully open, especially if you put them on the sand.

ETA: WaffleWaffle22, I've never heard of those! Where do you buy them from? :)

Sorry am a bit slow with the pics....my false percs and Anthelia.

They can be a bit hard to see but they love their house

The Anthelia looks great and the percs look very healthy and happy.

Sounds like a winning solution - but then there seem like there are many.

thanks everyone keep the ideas AND PICUTRES coming. So many choices so small of a tank...
