Does the 38G Nuvo have a clear back or is it black? I am curious b/c I have seen a few of these tanks with clear backs and I am not sure if that was a scrape off the tint mod or requested from the factory when ordered new?

As Dmoody indicated, the "black on back but it can be peeled off."
We confirmed with our source over at Innovative a moment ago:
"The back is black. It is a black contact paper that can be peeled off and will reveal a clear back. The very first models had a clear back, but people complained about them"
