I'm far from an expert on gigs even though I've had one before but I'd say it looks pretty good , it's holding itself up and it's guts aren't exposed which are all good signs. I would follow through for the full treatment, again I'm far from an expert on them though lol

I put mine in treatment too. Not positive it needs it but I don't want to risk it. Just looked a little loose when I got home. If it was sticky I might have gave it another day.

I may have panicked myself but I'm going to go ahead and continue treatment. Does have some black pellet discharge so I think I did right by starting treatment. So far he's turning in the right direction. Going to be much larger than I thought initially.

Yea, mine is about dinner plate sized. Would have preferred a little smaller but these gigs are definitely the brightest green I have ever seen. I think the cipro is going to bleach them but they'll get their color back pretty quickly.

The water in my qt was getting a little cloudy so I did a change around midnight. This thing keeps getting bigger and bigger. I probably should be using a 20g

Mine was looking amazing. I cut lights out prior to doing water change and he started to draw up. Changed water and he has yet to get back to the state he was in. Amazing how quickly things go south with these things. There's still hope, so I'm definitletely continuing to treat but I've seen this behavior more times than I would like to. Fingers crossed and glad I purchased the "extended warranty".

I'd create your own thread, that way you can get the help and advice that you may need if it starts to go south. If you keep it here it may go unseen by a lot of users.

Update, mine has declined quickly and it appears that has been PROPAGATED!!! I have asked for a full refund

I wouldn't give up yet. Still looks pretty good aside from the small tear. Definitely hasn't been propagated. That isn't possible with gigs.

This is incorrect, it is possible. There is a lengthy thread on here where a guy purchased multiple gigs from a source to find that all had been propagated. It is well documented in the thread. And the pic doesn't do justice, it has a half inch gap of bald tentacles and it continues all the way through the foot. Nem will not attach because it cannot attach. I was contacted and apologized to that this happened. Supplier said they were unaware of this and will investigate on their end. Said they will take care of my situation.

Do you have a link to that thread?

Its nemboy1's gigantea tank build thread. Discusses purchasing multiple nems from a vendor and going through treatment processes only to lose them all. It is discussed in the thread that they had scar lines and were definitely propagated. You can also tell in his pics that the nems "tuck in" where the cut was made. He contacted his vendor who sent him more nems and they too were cut and did not survive. Mine was cut, 100% no question. Not a tear, not a injury, but cut.

Among the Reef is adamant that they do not practice this procedure and I believe them. Though this does not rule out that it could have been done prior to them receiving it.

Among the Reef has been in continuous contact with me concerning this issue and they are looking into it on their end. The customer service has been exceptional thus far and they have agreed to provide a refund.
