Amount of Light Hours

I have a 48 inch ati powermodule over my 90g sps dominated tank. Right now it is 6 inches above the water. My corals have amazing color but I was wondering if I have my daylights on for long enough. I run 2 blue plus from 11:45am to 10 pm and I have my daylights run from 1:45 to 6:15. Are those goo hours? If I keep them on for 8 hours will I get better growth? Or will that bleach my corals? My growth is pretty good right now and everything is looking great, do you think I should just keep it how it is?

Dont know if its much help since its different lighting but I have found that I cant go over 7 hours with my radium 250w at 12+" above the water without bleaching some lps and lightening sps. 6 hours is just about right for my lighting system for daylight then my actinics are on for 12 hours. id turn them off if they didnt provide a bit of pop even when the radium is on.

THeres lots of folks who run that fixture on here that can give you a hand though and im sure they will before long.

I use a 48in Tek with ATI bulbs and run my Blue+ for 12 hours and my daylight and purple+ for 6. I've thought about bumping it up, but everything seems to really like the amount now, so I'm a bit hesitant to prolong the period.

If your tank and corals are growing at a good rate then it's always best no to mess with things YET your daylights could be on longer. I've got mine, LEDs, on for 10 hrs. Whatever you do if you do increase just do it gradually or you will run the risk of bleaching some sps that can't adjust that quickly.
