Thought I'd post this item for those researching on how to get problematic damsels out of the tank.
This trap was $22 at DrsFostersmith.com and was successful in getting both yellow tail blue damsels out of my tank (233g with over 400lbs live rock) without much trouble. I actually liked these fish, they were beautiful. I could tolerate them being somewhat pesky, and they had some entertaining combat rounds with a royal gramma, but when they immediately started to attack a baby blue hippo tang I knew they had to go.
I just used a Kent SeaSquirt feeder to put some food in it, the damsels couldn't resist going in after it... yank the cord and they are captured! The first one (which we had named Diablo, real bastard) did require some patience, took about 30 minutes before he actually swam in. The other one, who had been fairly mellow until Diablo was removed then developed a bad attitude very quickly, took only a minute or so.
Fish Corral
Good luck!
