Anemone and par38 bulbs

Hi everybody! I have a question an I'm hoping some more seasoned people can lead me down the right path. I have a 18g cad lights tank, two clowns in it. I have a par 38 bulb over it, 12 lenses, 3watts each. Can I put a BTA in the tank under that light and would that light be enough to sustain it? I'm new to the par bulb, and it's a fish only tank. I have a RBTA that split into 3 in my 75 gallon, I was thinking I could take one of the clones and put it in the 18g. Is this a wise move, or am I dreaming that the par bulb would sustain it. I do feed all my anemones weekly, I'm just curious.

Thanks everybody! :)

Yes, the par38 should give plenty of light. I've been able to keep several different Magnifica under them.

Good luck.

Excellent. Thanks for the input, I wasn't sure if it would sustain or not. Hopefully once the split ones heal I can transfer it to the smaller tank.

Yep, my BTA tank is lit by a single Par38. Works well, people SERIOUSLY overestimate the amount of light BTAs need anyway.

Thanks! I had to ask, I didn't want to put one in just to watch it fade away. I needed reassurance from people that have had experience with them. :) going out tomorrow and see what's out there. I'll post a pic if I find anything.

Here is my current BTA/Clown tank under a Coral Compulsion Par 38. I replaced many of the chips to suit my color preference, it now has 2xCW(20k), 2xUV, and 10xRB:

Yes it's an AIO that I built specifically for nems. Two 300gph returns, one up top and one all the way at the bottom allow for zero powerheads in the tank. Very important to success if keeping bubble tips in a smaller tank.

I know in mine, water changes are key, in my 18g I do at least 3 gallons weekly, I'm sure it's overkill, but things can go bad really really fast if I'm not on top of it.
