anemone ID "expert" opinions needed

Thanks to phender, I have some new anemone pictures for you to look at.
I realize a positive ID is not possible without close (physical) examination, but perhaps we can narrow it down a bit: Is it possible these anemones are a large form of the "mini carpet anemone" species Stichodactyla tapetum ? (The largest anemone is roughly 5" in diameter.) The foot and column on these anemones is very similar to the "mini carpet anemones" I've been growing for years.
I think it's safe to rule out Cryptodendrum.

I've heard there is a larger form of Stichodactyla tapetum than the 2 inch diameter form that I've been growing.
Sprung mentions a 30 cm. variant in this link (under Ricordea):

For comparison, here's a pic of the Stichodactyla tapetum I've been growing

Gary, what is the common name of this angel? Chaetodontoplus mesoleucus. And do you keep him in your reef?

Sorry my reply is irrelavent to your question.

Chaetodontoplus mesoleucus= the Singapore/Vermiculate Angelfish. A 'Google' on the scientific name will bring up more info on the fish. (I personally like to use fishbase for info.)
I used to keep this Angelfish in my reef aquarium. Initially it bothered certain Acropora. It destroyed a red Cynarina. It then settled down and didn't bother anything else.

By no means am I an expert, but it does appear to be S. tapetum. I too have heard of the larger variety and I also agree that it is not Cryptodendrum, namely because I dont see any dendritical tentacles. So I am at least fairly certain that they are not those. Anyone else? I would love to hear of another miniature species if anyone knows of one.

Based on all the pics I've ever seen of yours (and other's) S. tapetum's I'd guess the same.

I guess let me ask it this way, is there any reason, other than the size, for you to suspect otherwise?

Not knowing any other info, I'd say "tapetum" is a slam dunk ID.

The larger S. tapetum come in a huge variety of colors and patterns. Many are quite beautiful.
Scott,
The one you have is exactly like the ones I helped Gary aquire.

Nice score, Scott. How long have you had that anemone?
I think it's safe to say it's a S. tapetum.
It's coloration is very similar to one that I have

This one takes the cake. Hopefully Minh won't be out of reefkeeping much longer! :D

Anemone arrived Early Feb 2006.

Bought it as a C. adhaesivum, upon arrival it clearly was not ;>)

Eats like a pig, no movement, reddish splotching on pedal area/lower column, no divisions. It has bright green on the oral disk, but it is buried in the tentacles and does not show....

Maybe I need a local reefer to bring over her Macro lens :D

While not nearly as colorful as the ones you guys have (yet :) )I thought I would share pics of my newest arrivals.
