hello all,

I've had this anemone for a few years now, and decided it was time to positively identify it. it was collected in the gulf of mexico on the texas coast.

through a few searches, I believe it to be Bunodosoma Cavernata, but would love a few opinions on it.

here are a few pictures, it resides in my unlit sump out of fear of it eating my fish. I'm assuming its not photosynthetic, as it seems completely satisfied without light. I feed it once a week or so, usually a piece of shrimp. thanks for any help.

Socalsalttank, it was collected in the Gulf of Mexico. To my knowledge, cold water anemones don't typically live in waters that far south because it's too warm.

Socalsaltank - like Bradley pointed out, it was collected in the gulf. My tank stays in the low to mid 70's, the anemone has been in my care for almost 4 years now.

Bradleym - thanks for the links, I appreciate the help.
