anemone near death or maybe already dead

I got this on a rock and wasn't quite sure what it was at first, but it looks like a bta that is in the worst shape i have ever seen. It's about the size of a nickel and no tenticles, just basically withered away to nothing. I am trying some experimental stuff on him and see how it goes. hopefully he makes it but the odds are not good by the looks of him.

LFS guy, it's refrigerated so maybe some kinda good bacteria? no clue. stinks like hell though

I have about 400 gallons volume so it probably can't do a whole lot to it.

It was still alive but not getting any better, it was clearly dying slowly from infection or long term starvation or both. So i put it out of its misery as i saw no signs of it coming back at all after a full week.
