Anemone Question

I have a small GBTA that I got from some ones that had split it has been in my DT for 6 days and has was looking healthy and eating. then last night i found this it appears that its mouth is inside out to put blountly does any one know what made this happen and can the anemone recover from this the pic is not the best.

Doesn't look very good at all from that pic. As for if it can recover or not, that depends on your tank...

What are your parameters -- with numbers
What lights do you have?
What size tank?
How long has it been set up?
What all do you have in there -- livestock wise
What is your filtration?
RO/DI water? If so, what is the TDS

I cannot tell exactly from the picture but the RBTA's in my farm do a similar thing if I am correctly understanding your dilemma. They evert the mouth and mesenteries will come out and look very flaccid. Within an hour or so they are back to normal state. I hope this helps I hope all is well with your GBTA. the parameters are good

ph 8.2
ammonia 0
nitrites 0
nitrates stay under 5

lights consist of 2 T5 48" bulbs

the tank is 100 gal

and the filtration is 2 Emporer 400 HOB

thank consist of a purple tang pair of clowns 10 Blue hermits few bumble bee snails and 1 urchin

the tank has been set up for 3 to 4 months at my house and about six months prior to that the water for the past 6 weeks has came from the LFS.

suggestions would be great at this point for future reference

2 t5 bulbs isnt enough for ur anemone. whats up with the hair algae? thats an indication of poor water quality. without better lighting and improved water quality, ur anemone wont live for long.

If your BTA is sitting high on the rocks, you might be able to get away with 4 48" T5, and 6 would be even better.

i am looking at ur avatar, and assume u hv a 55 gallon? if so, u need at least 4-6 39w t5 bulbs, or 2 150w mh bulbs. light plays a vital role, but water quality is also very important.

Last night I rearanged the rocks so that the men is sitting closser to the light and i plan on getting more ligh this weekend.

and the men looked better when i got home last night. It apperaed to be back to it normal healthy self. Thanks for the advise.
