Anemone split, uncommon color?

Not really a question but I wanted to share what my anemone looked like during a split. This was the first time it split and it had a hard time with it......took 3 days to fully seperate. The clone is now in hiding under a rock, the original has been doing some moving around but seems happy now? One question, is this a rare color? I've had this anemone for a year and a half and work at a LFS. I have never seen an anemone this color other than this one. We had one shipment of anemones like this at the store in a year and a half and have never seen another one. Just curious???? Here's a couple of pictures.

Thanks. I'm wondering because I never see pictures of this color anemone. It's super neon with pink tips......it seriously almost glows in the dark. I have 10K lights with NO actinic at all and it's still that bright. I've seen a million green anemones but never one this color?????

And another????????? BTW this thing is driving me insane..walking across my tank...geez. This would be number 3 if it does divide.

What do you think of this? I now think and believe with the help of WWM's crew that the connective tissue was a third anemone. It has a split going to it's mouth, BUT, it's healed. This picture was taken after lights out....................2 feet? I may need to do some cutting? I've posted this everywhere I can think of.....please give me your thoughts.

That picture looks like a recent division which is healing up. Let it settle in over the next few days and enjoy.

fwiw: The color morph is certainly not the most common, but it is not uncommon either.

Good luck.

It has not split, that's the part that's driving me nuts. It's only half split.....it split 12 days ago and now looks like this. I have no clue what's up with this? Thanks for the reply.

I'd wager, it has split, but half or a third is hiding out, "melted down", been sucked up the filter, etc.,etc.

Either way, a knife to it will not help in this situation. Let it settle back in and keep an eye on the water quality. Especially if a portion of the division is lost somewhere and dying/dead.

Good luck.

Green BTA with pink tips. I've seen several reefers with this, one was lime green and another was more deeper green.
