Anemones and close loop

I've got a close loop in my tank and I was wondering how I should prep the drain. Is there anything I can put over the strainer that I have near the the side that drains into the intake of the close loop pump. It's a mag 18 on a 1 1/2 drain.

I know anemones usually get sucked up by powerheads, but what about this, I think there is a good suction from this drain.

Thanks in advance.

oh yea, one other question, how do I also protect it from the SEIO M1500.

I would cover both the cloed loop intake and the seio intake with sponge filter material. The sponge generally diffuses the suction sufficiently to keep an anemone from being shredded by the strainer. You may find a correctly sized sponge filter premade for some other filter, or you may need to buy a sponge block and cut a hole in it to fit your intake.
