Looking great Ryan, i have the same issue and will need a gyre for the 5ft length to get all my pumps off the viewing glass. Otherwise stream pumps create a big dead spot at the end in my tank where the flow meets the water coming back.
I watched one in action at the LFS and it will cover my 5ft length with interuption from a couple of streams as well mounted below the gyre. That's the plan anyway lol.

make sure you get the new one with the upgraded mounts to make it less noisy.

TBH i just chucked everything in messy to get it running ASAP, I still have to move the profilux etc over, will do a sump pic when that happens.

Can't wait to see more progress pics. I love my regal (red sea) and it is the sort of fish that most people walk in and see it and go WOW, and so far hasn't touched any of the corals. Be awesome to see multiple in one tank.
What else is on your stocking list?

My 3 regals are aussie ones. I love the red sea ones the yellow chest is awesome!

angel wise
2 x bandit (on order with williamstown)
2 x multibar (in qt) will be first fish added
2 x flame angel

got a few tangs purple and achilles got to decide what anthias to go for in this tank. have tuka now but maybe something different still unsure.

I agree that Regal Angles are awesome. They are WOW fish for sure. I am go in to follow your advice 9vis PM) and add a smaller one in the future.

Hey Andrew most angels will have an occasional nip which will reduce polop extension but that's something I'm willing to sacrifice

I received the light and hung from ceiling over the weekend. Also added the first live stock 5 paracentropye multifaciatus and manged to even get a pic of all 4 together

tank been filled for 2 weeks and have the below params
P04 - 0.09 - hanna
N03 - 0 - salifert
Alk - 8.3 -hanna
cal - 350 - salifert
put in a dallas (which is aussie version of green slimer) frag and birdsnest last nigh but lights were out so couldn't get a pic.

Also added pair of feminus wrasse
