Another 225 Tank Project!

Get a bug bomb and set it off under the house the day before you go under it! Unless of course you have already thought about that, and for some reason that I do not know as of yet you are unable to.

:)

color of the stand came out nice :)
i can picture it now cant u.
cant wait to see more picture's this is an awesome thread.

That black widow fear cracks me up because i also have the same fear for the same reasons. Plus, crawling under the house sucks!!!! Sure hope you're not claustrophobic! If you can, try and snap up some photos of the supports you created under the house. I need some ideas. BTW, that's an awesome setup!!

The things we do for our fish etc...!!!
I have a Dry Suit I dive in that would probably do the job of stopping a few bites, but you'll be hot as hell after about 5 minutes!!!!

Still looks like the best system I have seen in ages! Mucho Kudos..

(meanwhile I am still waiting for a replacement tank to come in for my leaky 210 :furious: )

sweet! getting close! i fricking HATE spiders....ahhh...i would be freaked from going under there too! bomb thos suckers!!

Looks great Platapus. Can't wait to see everything up and running. If we don't hear from you in the next week we'll know the black widows got ya. j/k:) Good luck with the floor supports. I would also like to see some pics of the supports if you are able to take some.

I know the feeling try crawling through 90 meters of crawlspace above my house with a cross over cable for my dads network through 4 feet deep fiber glass and spider webs we have black widows too! it kind of felt like lord of the rings! Luckly I came out unscathed just a little itchy.

REALLY dislike spiders here.....
I spent 4 years in the Marine Corps infantry, 5 months in Mogadishu. I rarely get frightened by things, nor am I prone to avoiding difficult situations....and spiders turn me into a screamin lil girl so fast, my girlfriend thinks its hilarious.
True Story....
While returning from a night patrol in Okinawa's NTA my LT got us lost. Then it started raining....heavily. It was raining so hard that visibility was down to just few feet and you really couldnt hear anything. Rather than make a bad situation worse my LT "decided" to stay put until the storm let up enough to allow safe movement. We were no longer tactical at this time,(exercise was over) and we had made contact w/ company CO prior to stepping off, so he knew we were behind and were going to be okay.
Half an hour later, the storm abates and I take point in order to move a little quicker and ensure we don't stay lost in a dark, wet jungle. We hadnt moved 200 yards before I heard a noise, and saw a little bush moving from some small animals passage through it. That small animal was a Banana spider about the size of my fist. Normally they build triangular shaped webs that span as much as 12 feet in diameter in the trees. Evidentally the storm had knocked it out of its web, or torn its web down, and it was looking for a new home. I had never heard a spider move before....and havent since. I survived the small heart attack that damn thing gave me and quickly put someone else on point and made sure to tell them which direction to walk.
Being late beats being eaten by some freakishly huge spider.....
I'd call Orkin if I were you man...and then I'd get a flame thrower...just to be sure.
Sorry for giving everyone nightmares....
Platapus....awesome work man....

Spiders are bugs and are easily squashed....lets see some freekin water in this sucker!!!! LOL If you get bitten and die can i have your setup??? Good luck man!!!

Thanks for the kind words everyone! It makes this project that much funner to share it with everyone!

birdman204 - get in line! ;) In the in bay area!

MrSandman / Travis - I will take some snap under the house once the jacks are in place for ya.

capescuba - Ill take the heat over got dam windows any day! Im probably going to use a painters suit and duct tank and work as fast as possible. :strooper:

nicholasvilppu - Nothing like fiberglass splintters ;) After actual measuring the space, I have 16" - 18" to crawl! tight squeeze for me. It is a streight shot about 25 ft.

maxxII - lol, I preffer to do the jump in the air fast dance when I encounter them  That is one heck of a spider!

waverz - no, I would imagine my wife would just bary me in it.

03/23/04 - Calcium Reactor: Got the calcium reactor today. After much research I decided on the dual chamber reactor (CR-2) built by My Reef Creations piped into a 10 pound CO2 tank. This is the final piece of the puzzle.

your water top off system.

your water top off system.

I have been following your project for some time now. As you know I have my own going at the same time. www.180gallontank.com I have been looking at your top off system and I canââ"šÂ¬Ã¢"žÂ¢t seem to grasp how you did it. I have the surges too, and I donââ"šÂ¬Ã¢"žÂ¢t want it filling up while sump is at low point then having both surges hit. That wouldnââ"šÂ¬Ã¢"žÂ¢t be good. Do you have any drawings or a couple of pictures? I like how you did that. Also, how do you get those images to display like that?

Thanks

I cant type in in becuase it will post the picture......

I made a snapshot of the code you use to post pics in the threads.....
