Another fish capture

The small Lysiosquillina sulcata male that I caught as a postlarva in Moorea in 2002 suddenly constructed a new vertical burrow. This is the first time it has done this. I suspect that this means that it is approaching breeding size. It is now 11 cm. The new burrow opening is in the corner of the tank and is a lot more difficult to photograph, but I did get a fair image of another damsel capture this morning.

Impaled through the eye :) ?

Is your L.sulcata boy or girl ?

Have you ever named a Stomatopod, like "punchy" ?

I agree I caught my L.colemani in highspeed recording impaling a small bream through the eye...I find it tends to be the eye or a tip hooks into a gill.

We should hookup my L.sulcata with yours ;) they can go on a date / 1 night stand.

Is it cause you have hundreds xD ?
