after 5mos, my CB decided he liked sps frags! he's about 3" and eats spectrum pellets and any frozen foods :)

i've got a moorish idol (about 2.5-3") that also started wreaking havoc on sps frags :( only had him for a couple weeks but he will eat mysis shrimp and angel formula. i hate to get rid of him because he's pretty cool and eats.

asking $15 each or $25 if you take both. sorry for the lousy pic, but they are in my fuge (and have been eating).

i don't have any softies. however, he didn't bother my frogspawn, anchor hammer and branching hammer LPS.

amazing price on those fish TFP, too bad we also have SPS that we "cherish". I had not really heard of the MIs taking that much of a liking to SPS before, but maybe I just haven't read up enough on them. Sorry to hear that you have to let it go :(

First time in my career I've heard of it. ypically herbivours don't go after corals, but there is always a first :D

tom, he will be missed :( looked so elegant with his streamer waving while crusing the tank. i took a risk and was hoping for the best but i watched him devastate a couple sps.

hows the battle with the aefw going? did the frags i sold you last summer make it?

I am truly sorry to hear about the idol.

Thanks for asking about the frags, some have made it still, some haven't... still in the very early stages of the treatment protocols (the latest, hard core treatment protocols that is). Basically just finishing up preparing for the treatments. Alot of chipping and clipping to be done out of the display tank.

So far we have the treatment tanks built and wet tested, HOB skimmer ready to go (although I am eyeing hceiv's Remora as a much better skimmer to use for this). I just finished building a lighting rack out of aluminum square stock to hold an old hamilton 250W DE plus some fans (to be hooked up to another old temp controller). The plan is to start moving acros over tonight and do the first levamisole treatment tomorrow then move the corals over to the second tank with fresh tank water and then to rinse and let the first tank dry. Going to repeat that once a week for the next 6 - 8 weeks, allowing the main tank to sit fallow of acros. We are keeping our fingers crossed that most of our still left acros make it. But from what others have reported we yet still could lose another 20% of our acros before it is over :(.

moorish idol is sold, coral beauty still available :D
this is an awesome deeply colored fish i tell ya :)
