Thanks to Leslie she ID'd a part of a hermit that had eggs in a previous post. Thank you very much.

Then last night I discovered a bunch of these swimming against the front glass and managed to net one. Ive never seen anything similar in my tanks over the years and am pretty certain its not a pod. I had some fresh cut frags in reciently but didnt notice any hitchhikers. They wiggle while they swim and are very small. This one is aprox the width of the tip of a ball point pen. For comparison the tupperware cap is 5'' across, so very hard to get a clear pict. Are they baby hermits or something else I should worry about?

If it helps any looking through a magnifying glass I could tell it had narrow red bands across the body its full length and maybe hair or something resembling whisps along the body full length. It did not like brighter lights and would curl what would be the tail up to the head like a scorpion does, for lack of a better example.

I wish I had the capability to take better picts, sorry. I was mainly concerned about harmul isopods, but I kind of doubt they are them. Better to hear from an expert though.

On that thought, have you heard anyone sucessfully treating a tank for them with Interceptor? I have often wondered if it would be effective.
