Anthias Evansi eating habits

I have an Evansi Anthias (apparently a female) and she's been doing fine for two months. However, I've always assumed that these fish are open water swimmers, eating zooplankton from the water column. Not this one.

She cruises up and down the sides of the glass and eats only the tiny copeopds that one so often finds crawling there. She does this all day long. Her behavior is more like a Mandarin than an anthias.

Should I be satisfied with that? Or should I be trying some other methods to get here to eat food from the water column?

I feed live brine, and frozen mysis and also Sweetwater Zooplankton. She has no interest in any of it.

Any opinions ? ... or suggestions?

Try getting a bartletts anthias they will eat everything and the have taught my Carberrys and Dispars to eat flake and pellet. Anthias like to be in groups my Dispars, Bartletts, and Carberrys school togther and feel safe enough to be out in the open all the time. I used to just have 2 Bartletts and I wouldn't see them all the time so when I got 4 Dispars the grouped together and and started roaming the tank. If the tank is only a 75gal then I would only get 2 other anthias to keep him or her company or maybe try some cyclopeeze, rotifers, or daphnia. Evansi are tough to keep almost as bad as Purple Queens to keep alive. Good Luck.

My Evansi is still doing well, but eating only copepods. She's less and less shy and is out eating nearly all day long. I would like to get more (maybe lyretails), but my lf stores shy away from geting them in as they feel they are too "risky". I'll have to order online. I plan to upgrade to a 125 .. soon.

You seem to have a nice collection of different species. I've read that, over time, they loose their bright coloration when kept in captivity. Do you find that to be true?

My Carberries actually have gotten brighter along with my Bartletts over time and my males have now got streamers from their fins.
