Here is the photo of Anthias anthias (Mediterranean anthias) that I took at Aquarium of Barcelona

Very cool! If I had a temperate tank, it would be packed with those!

I've been playing with my new Nikon f2.8 105mm VR micro and got this shot of my male lyretail.
He didn't get as red as some others I've seen.
He is in with a sub male, a female(all 3 years old) and 2 newer juvis.
Other anthias are 3 juvie dispars, a 2 year old bartlett and 2 juvie squarespots.

Judging by the amount of pink, and the shape of the orange area on its back, I'd say that is a pretty much full blown male. Very nice!

Thanks SDguy, I thought he was a full male, he looks just like the picture you posted, except he doesn't really have the blue outline around his fins.

Does anyone have long term(>1yr) experience with Pseudanthias Lori? If so, are they reclusive in tanks with bright lighting? how difficult was it to get them feeding?

SDguy, I noticed you posted a picture of one, how has your experience been?

I had two...one just disappeared one day. They don't gorge themselves like my other anthias, so they definitely fall under the "multiple small feedings throughout the day" category.
