Looking in my tank tonight, and pretty sure I see a crack in the back. The paint on the back is not cracked but I'm pretty sure I'm not crazy on this one. I can see a line of distortion in the back glass. If I have to buy a new one it will hurt big time....I have a 29 gallon I can throw everything in, but I may have used copper in the past but I can't remember.

So if anyone knows of any sales, etc please lemme know. I may hit some o y'all up for baby sitting if I can't figure somethjng out quick!

Yeah there's a guy with a 50 in Marin that I'll call in the am. Looks to be a 3' tank

Basically I need a 40 gal plus 3' tank. I guess a built in would be nice so I don't have to drill and wait to install a box with silicone.

Tank cracked right at the drilled hole and goes down to the plastic trim. Maybe too tight bulkhead?

I have a 40 breeder with stand but I'm way in San leandro

Thanks man. After some sleep I have a plan. I have a tank from truvu that is a 15" wide instead of 18" that I will relocate fish and use that as a temporary tank.

Only problem is it's a used tank and I don't know if it's had copper in it at all. A test kit will rule that out correct?

A test kit should show if there is some amount of copper in it, however, there still could be a small amount that will slowly leech into the water over time. So basically you should be safe using it as a temporary tank but I would not recommend it for prolonged use

Thanks man. The tank has been in use for years, so I think I'll have a good idea if it's clean or not.

I plan on buying another 40B, but am sketched about drilling it now lol. Any other tanks that have the 36x18 footprint, but are taller?

I have one for sale in Santa Rosa. I upgraded to a 100 gallon. I will sell the tank for 20 dollars or trade for some coral frags. The tank is headed for storage soon, so I rather see somebody use the tank.
