I'm going to Vegas next week. Wondering if there was any nice shops to visit. I went to the Lv page and I was the only member in there. Or any Vegas people looking that have something Cool for sale or trade? I know usually everyone in a certain area eventually ends up with all the same stuff. On the other hand we do have all the cool stuff here except legal gambling. I am in the market for a quarter slot. Machine.

The mostly have freshwater stuff last time I went fish store hopping out there
But it is neat freshwater fish

I figured its a little too hot and hard to maintain the tank. Unless you can afford to run ac all day and night. Imagine the electricity bill the lfs would have.. the only person that could afford to do that is that one guy that posted last year his monthy 40k$ water bill. Or was it 20k$. I remember 15 years back one of the casinos had a huge fowler at their check in. Its been so long I forget the name of the casino. Who knows if they still have them.

Several places have large saltwater tanks. Of the top of my head, you have a tank somewhere in the Forum Shops at Caesar's, tanks in a hotel bar at Mandalay Bay, and the huge tank at the registration desk at Mirage. Finally, at The Golden Nugget, you have the shark tank at the pool.

Those are the free ones that I can think of.

Ice bar inside the Monte Carlo.

Tanked did a jellyfish tank there. Don't know if it's still up.

And the tropicana has a tank, the mob experience I think.

Cool. Ill definately visit some of these locations.

I never cared for fish at all before reefing. Even when I went to hawaii and snorkeled. The only cool thing I saw (cool at the time) was an eel. I didn't even like hawaii. Now I want to go back =). Going to do cancun for the honey moon.

Anyone ever tried shipping livestock out of cancun? I'm sure its a fat fat fine right? My buddy just came back and there's a do not cross line. I guess they're really pro preserving the reef. Which is good.

Shoot me a pm, I'm a local here and we have a great local reef club.

There are several lfs stores here and a ton of great tanks. I would check out silverton, Ceasers, shark reef, mirage, just off the top of my head.

Ellis Island (off the strip right behind Ballys).
Come hungry. Best BBQ and Steaks in town. Its an old school place. Ask for the Steak Special (not on the menu).....$7.00 with two free tall beers. I go there 4 times a year.....typically an hour wait to eat....
sorry, no tanks though, but you can get tanked for $20.00 bucks......

So I'm here right now. The only special requires a coupon which makes it 8.99. Which is no problem. The problems is no 2 tall beers!
