Any experience with CBB and aiptasia control?

Getting a little tired of Juicin my aiptasia- even noticed them spawning more s/p Joe's Juice. Anyways never had a CBB in any of my reefs-at this point i'm considering one to try to control some of the pest Aiptasias. My concern as always is :
1-nipping
2-feeding him
this setup has tons of fish and mysis usually dont last long before my pigs(tangs anthias and so forth get to it).
Anyways any experience out there-I understand is variable and truly depends on each individual.
Thx in advance.

From what I've heard, you can say goodbye to all of tube worms, and they may or may not have any interest in your aiptasia.

Well jeff-no tube worms so in that regard I'm good - What worries me is pickeing on sps and zoos.

ive heard that if your CBB doesnt eat the aptasia theres a method to intice him, seem kinda strange to feed your aptasia but feed the lil buggers your CBB's favorite food. and once he takes a bite he'll find how much he likes it :D

My peppermint shrimp consistently rid my tanks of Aptaisias, unless they are too big. I don't have a problem with them eating feather dusters etc either.

yeah, you could just do peppermint shrimp, the whole "reef safe" issue is reasonible, however the peppermint will ony bother other corals when it is not being fed enough, for instance mine started eating the slime off my bubble coral, i just started putting extra food in the tank for him, problem solved!

Peppermint shrimps work great if you get one that is known to eat aiptasia. I have had problems though with underfeeding, like scubasteve said, when I fed next to nothing in my nano. He ate a head of candycanes, probably trying to steal it's food. But still, he got the shaft, but I've got another now, who hasn't touched any corals unless it's right after fragging and he's cleaning up the mess.

The feeding aiptasia the CBB's food is brilliant. Someone told me to do that with hair algae/diatom algae with my foxface.

Manny, I have had great success with CBB in fact I just bought one last week for the purpose, he still very shy and has not come out yet.
I have use them a few times in the past, I could let you burrow him after I am done with my tanks.
Oh, and I have never had a problem with them eating anything else than the aptasia and small tube worms.

Hey Roger I've been trying the prolongued nights for my pepermints to get a hold of the aiptasia(when they r small) and it has worked so far.
But have been always curious bout CBB in terms of long term control.
Friends previous experiences make me leary in terms of sps and nipping.
BTW where did u get him?

Small tube worms you say?? I have a TON of the tiny white ones all over the back of my tank an d they are starting to take over my rock! They are cool looking but they are getting out of control! If a CBB would eat those...I am getting one tomorrow! :D

C'mon manny don't be chix, just put one in and if he starts eating your Porites you just give him pao-pao or take him out!
Hey Roger - if u get him out w/o destruction I'll get him
DEAL OR NO DEAL??:(

I would try peppermint shrimp first. Then I would use the blue life aiptasia stop. If not, I have seen CBB that did a good job on aiptasia.
