Wanted to try these little buggers out. Anyone know of a LFS that carries these guys so that I won't have to bother with shipping and stuff.

thanks

Hi Charles,

You can get Tigger-Pods at 6th ave in the city, other then that, Oceans Treasures, but they're not open yet.

hmm.

hmm.

Have you checked the quality of there pods? I have just had too many bad experiences with 6th ave. as in livestock quality...

How much and how many do you get????

thanks,

The quality of their pods? They don't have much controll over that, other then keeping them too long on the shelf. I can vouch for the quality they were in when they left our doors, I bottle every one that leaves the facilty.

I can't say what they sell them for either, but we suggest $20. You get ~700 down to no less them ~500.

All of this and more can be found at either www.ReefNutrition.com or www.tigger-pods.com

I just picked up a bottle at 6th. They look kinda dead because they are refrigerated but once brought back up to room temp they are fine. I've currently got these pods setup in tupper ware (I split the bottle into 2) so I can start my own little pod farm. Very easy to do so make sure you pick up some phytofeast also if you plan to order.

andyman, did you get yours from 6th or online?

I am just worried about online since if they deliver when I am still at work, those pods would bake in the heat/sun. I live in the sunny side of pacifica.

GreshamH, are you with reef nutrition?

Yes, I'm the Aquarium Feeds Product Manager for Reed Mariculture.

You can always have the shipment "held at station" and pick it up there when you get off work. They come in a styro box, w/ cold packs.

Like I said in my post , Picked it up from 6th. They are dormant when refrigerated but is ok once they warm up slowly to room temp.
