Im looking to get some quotes from anybody that builds stands. I need to have one made for my new 150. Its an odd size so that is why I need one custom made.
Its 48 L X 30 W X 24 H.

My buddy MrPike built my stand and canopy. It's beautiful. Real good prices. I just called him, so he'll check this thread out soon.

I have built about 5 stands, as well as about 4 canopy's for my self and some of my friends. I can pretty much build what ever dimensions you want, for a 150 it would probably be doubled 2x4's for the structure, then cover it in some sort of laminated plywood and trim board, then stain it whatever color you want. Doors I have found are best made with plywood and then using baseboard around the edge to give it that polished look. You can send me a PM if you are interested, just off the top of my head id probably charge 400 including what it costs for supplies. I live in fort collins, and have the next week off for spring break so if you want it fast I can do that.

Good luck with your new tank.

Bren designs.
Does beautiful work, any dimensions. Hard wood of your choice. Heavy duty hardware. Built a custom stand and canopy for me about six years ago. Still very corrosion resistant. See it in my gallery. His contact info, from 6 years ago:

OK, I can't help you with a stand builder and I'm sorry if you don't like others on your board. But I just set up a 110gal tank with a DIY stand and I realized the first night I should have installed a 3" rail along the front to hold a drink. Be it a beer or a glass of water, I should have put a rail on the front for my drink. Why do custom if you don't do it right?

If Tomu was refering to Chris Smith at KEYS Island. He built mine for my 150 gal a couple of years ago. Nice guy.

He matched it an antique Secretary desk I had down to the style and color. Minor imperfections, but the price was really good for what I asked him to do. Took him a couple of weeks to complete. He was very open to changes and asked before he did things. (i.e. 2 or 4 canopy doors, hardware preferences, etc). I had him put laminate on the inside of the cabinet floor. Great add-on for spills and minor overflows.

Healyjs, Chris is the person that I was talking about. He has built two stands and hoods for me. He matched my 210 stain with the rest of my furniture downstairs. He does a lot of communicating with the customer. He does great work!
