Any tricks to keep the green in red planet

Have several colonies/frags on different parts of the tank but all seem to turn completely red.

Lower light has been the general consensus to keeping the green. I have a small frag about 16" below a 250w Phoenix 14k on M80 ballast and it is bright green with red at the tip of corallites.

flow affects growth habit in this coral.

Lower and/or a bluer light brings out the green highlights.

Totally agree with this. I've had my RP under a few different lights and the color is always greener under the bluer bulbs. 150w Phoenix gave it a nice green base, 14,000k Ushios turned it solid red, 150w Radiums made it green again. I have it now under Evolution leds and the base is bright green with nice red tips.

Mine has browned out/deep red high under my 250w 20k. When I had it at the bottom it had a nice green base.

I have a 12 inch red planet and just the base gets deep green color all the growing ends are white and red.

I have a RP directly under the lighting, pink, red, dark green base, hardly any noticeable green where it tables under the lighting.

I have several frags under much lower lighting, from the same colony and they are much greener.

So just to sum up, the difference is always the intensity as opposed to the photoperiod? The reason I ask is because I have a Strawberry Shortcake that's completely red/bleached very close to the light. And I'm wondering whether I should turn down the intensity or the photoperiod.

mine is pure red I will try lowering it to say the impact on the color.
