Can I just try to set it with a white plastic pipe fitting?

AFIK, that works but you have to be careful about reflections, here is a photo I took under full actinic with the grey-card, bare with me I am still getting the hang of this thing

Anyone use the wide angle attachment?

I am trying to get a good FTS of my 125 but the standard lens does not quite cut it.

Wow....It's been a long time

Wow....It's been a long time

I did not know this thread fell off with my last post. LOL

I have not posted here on RR because I work at a LFS and was told that I could no longer post pictures here on the forum. Even though I only post pictures of my own stuff and never promoted my store.

Sadly, I have learned a lot from this forum and know I have shared information from time to time to hep others and to think that I can not post any more pictures just really sucks.

This forum was the reason I purchased the camera in the first place.

since someone brought this back up, here are some recent pics...

Nice photos, they make me hesitant to post my own... but since this is the canon s5is thread, while I was screwing around the night before last with my s5is, I started taking macro tank shots with the flash on.. I am very happy with the results, the only caveat is that in M mode, changing the shutter speed, iris and ISO, does not affect the preview pick in the viewfinder... you sort of have to shoot, then adjust..

Granted the focus is not all that but this shot is un-cropped and un-shopped taken under actenics with a flash

I am finding that using the flash and a white balance card with this camera is getting me photos with colors that are very true to the eye without shopping

What "white balance" card are you using? I have a hard time getting the correct color when I shoot through the glass unless the coral is 3" away from the camera, I think I need to get the macro lens to improve my colors
